About The Ford F-250

Alongside the lighter F-150 model Ford also produces a range of Super Duty Trucks including this F-250.

The F-250 is considerably larger than the F-150 and is used primarily for commercial purposes that require a tougher more powerful vehicle.

Underneath these heavier-duty pickup trucks is a completely different chassis from the F-150 with a stronger chassis and suspension.

Many of these heavy-duty models (the F-250 and F-350) are assembled at the company’s Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville.

These larger pickup trucks first came onto the market in the late-1990s and were available right away with 3 versions of a cab, a 2-door, a 4-door and a 2+2 configuration.

Various bed lengths were also made available at the time of order and the truck would come as a two-wheel-drive with four-wheel-drive an upgradable option.

The most recent version of the trucks is in their fourth-generation of design that was introduced for the first time in 2017.

These modern examples of the F-250 have a high-strength steel chassis and aluminum body like the F-150, for the first time both lines use the same cabs to cut down on costs.

Thanks to improvements in design and material technology the new models of the pickup truck boast huge weight savings over the last generation.
