About The Nissan Titan

After 5 years of planning the Nissan Titan was finally put into production in 2004.

It’s a full-size pickup truck designed specifically for the North American market with an SUV version called the Armada released alongside it.

This truck sits at the top of the Nissan range with the Frontier/Navara sitting just below it in the mid-size pickup truck class.

In 2017 the Armada switched away from using the Titan as a platform and began using the sixth-generation Patrol instead.

All of the first-generation versions of the pickup truck were sold with a 5.6-liter gasoline V8 mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.

With the introduction of the second-generation Titan in 2016, a turbodiesel V8 was added to the roster as the XD trim.

The previous gasoline V8 was improved to now produce almost 25% more power and was now mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.

In 2019 that automatic transmission was increased to be a 9-speed and the 2-door regular-cab was dropped as an option.

Modern Nissan Titans can only be purchased as a 4-door crew or extended-cab but do have a modern touchscreen infotainment system as standard.

Customers get a choice of drivetrain, with the option of rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive depending on the intended use of the truck.

As standard, the truck comes with air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity for mobile devices and power windows and door locks.

For towing the vehicle is kitted out with trailer brake control and if the buyer decides to upgrade to the towing package.

In 2020 the Nissan Titan had a mid-cycle refresh that brought new LED headlights and an optional larger touchscreen infotainment system.

The driver aids inside of the car were updated to now include a lane departure warning system, high-beam assist and emergency braking.
